Privacy Policy — Courrt
Last updated: 9 June 2026
Courrt ("Courrt", "we", "us") operates the website https://courrt.com and the remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) server at https://mcp.courrt.com/mcp. Courrt is a read-only research tool for Indian Supreme Court and High Court judgments and Indian statutory documents. Courrt is operated by Superlinear Technologies Pvt Ltd.
This policy explains what data we do and do not collect when you use the website or connect the MCP server from an AI client (such as ChatGPT or Claude).
1. Summary
- We do not require an account, and we do not ask you for any personal information to use Courrt.
- We do not collect, store, or process the content of your conversations with your AI client.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data for advertising.
- The MCP server is a stateless, read-only API over public court records. It cannot write, modify, or delete anything.
2. What Courrt is
Courrt searches and returns publicly available Indian court judgments and Indian statutory documents (Acts, Rules, Notifications, etc.). All judgment text Courrt returns is reproduced verbatim from official court PDFs; Courrt never fabricates judgment text, citations, judges, or outcomes. The underlying records are public records under Indian law.
3. Data we do NOT collect
- No end-user accounts. There is no sign-up, login, or profile.
- No personal identifiers (name, email, phone, address, payment details) are requested or stored to use the MCP server.
- No conversation data. The MCP server only receives the specific tool call your AI client sends (for example, a search query string or a judgment id). It does not receive, request, or store your chat history, your client's memory, your files, or other context from your AI client.
- No tracking for advertising. We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking on the MCP service.
4. Data we do process
a) The query content you send to a tool. When your AI client calls a Courrt tool, the request contains the inputs needed to answer it — for example a search query, a citation string, or a judgment id. We process these inputs solely to return the requested public record. Queries are not linked to any personal identity because none is collected.
b) Standard server logs. Like any internet service, our servers (Google Cloud Run, in Google
Cloud region asia-south1) automatically record operational/diagnostic information such as IP
address, timestamp, request path, user-agent, and response status. These logs are used only to
operate, secure, debug, and monitor the service (including abuse prevention and rate-limiting) and
are retained for up to 90 days, then deleted or rotated. We do not use server logs to build user
profiles.
c) Website analytics. The courrt.com website may use privacy-respecting, aggregate usage measurement. It does not require an account and is not used to identify individuals. If/when an analytics provider is used, it is named here.
5. Data sources (public records)
Courrt's corpus is built from public and open-data sources:
- AWS Open Data Registry buckets
indian-supreme-court-judgmentsandindian-high-court-judgments.
Indian court judgments are public records. Source data is attributed to the respective courts (CC-BY-4.0, via the eCourts/Open Data pipeline). Courrt surfaces a source URL and citation with results so that every answer is traceable to the official PDF.
6. How we use data
We use the limited data described above only to:
- return the requested public judgment/document and its metadata;
- operate, secure, and maintain the service (rate-limiting, abuse and fraud prevention, debugging);
- comply with applicable law.
We do not use your queries or logs to train AI models, and we do not sell or share them with third parties for their own marketing.
7. Third parties / sub-processors
The service runs on Google Cloud Platform (compute, storage, BigQuery) in India
(asia-south1). Google processes data as our infrastructure provider under its own terms. Source
judgment PDFs are fetched from the public AWS Open Data buckets listed above. We do not otherwise
disclose data to third parties except where required by law.
8. Children
Courrt is a professional legal-research tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical measures appropriate to a stateless, read-only public-data service, including HTTPS/TLS in transit and access controls on our cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
10. Your choices
Because Courrt does not collect personal data or maintain accounts, there is no personal profile to access, correct, or delete. If you believe a specific request log containing your IP needs to be addressed, contact us at the address below.
11. No certifications claimed
We do not claim any specific compliance certification (such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or a formal GDPR/DPDP audit) in this document. Any such statement would be added here only once accurate.
12. Jurisdiction and governing law
Courrt is operated from India. This policy and any dispute relating to it are governed by the laws of India, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India, without prejudice to any mandatory local consumer-protection rights you may have.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves or as marketplace/legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be reflected at this URL.
